Why Will They Care?

The legendary guru Peter Drucker said: “Culture eats strategy for lunch.”

Drucker pointedly identified and articulated the keys to success in business.

Culture is the embodied values, principles and practices underlying the stuff of a business… the way we do things around here.

Culture, connects all stakeholders to each other and to the company’s purpose, people and processes.

Why should anyone care about your culture?

Customers care because they experience your service.

Customers care because they have freedom of choice to invest in a sale or give the sale to your

competitor.

Customers care because they hear how you care about the hard realities of the soft stuff.

Customers care because they associate with a brand that expresses who they are.

… Now substitute ‘customers’ for ‘employees’ and see what that means.

Read those same sentences above.

… Now substitute ‘employees’ for ‘prospective employees’.

And…

… Now substitute ‘prospective employees’ for ‘suppliers’.

And…

… Now substitute suppliers for ‘financiers’.

So, why would anyone care about your culture?

Because it counts… big time.

Your actions speak so loudly I can barely hear what you are saying!!
